Its no secret that I suffer from Aspersers Syndrome a form of autism which is a form of autism & so no surprise I'd ask people too watch a documentary on autism. I'd especially ask people to click on the above link & watch because I've tried to educate people on how being autistic handicaps me with the day to day.
Though autism affects each individual differently there are similar patterns in behaviour & I did really identify with the first young person you see in this documentary who couldn't deal with social interaction & social situations. I knew what he meant when he says getting drunk helps deal with social situations & I also understood exactly when he said I wish everybody would leave me alone. People who know me well will probably testify that I can't deal with social interaction for any length of time & since I was a kid I've often screamed LEAVE ME ALONE to those around me. Everybody knows that if you type too many instructions into a computer at the same time then that computer will crash, well that's kind of what its like with me & social interaction, if there's too much going on around me my brain starts to fry & I get wound up. The one difference between the kid you first see in the BBC documentary & myself is that though I can get emotional & verbally lash out I don't get physically violent with others in fact it's far more likely I'd use violence against myself then towards others.
Oh yeah there's a dating scene with another individual who was also dating somebody else who has autism & I did laugh because I knew what would happen & I was right because both individuals seized up....yeah its happened to me.
Anyways I hope will gain some insight if they watch this documentary as too the kind problems I have.
